With a library of over 300 cookbooks it's hard for me to choose a favorite cookbook but there is one book that stands out above all the rest - Mrs. Beeton and her Book of Household Management. My mother had a first edition from 1861 and as a child it was my storybook and later my reference book on British food. The book shaped my approach to cooking and the recipes though over 150 years old are still relevant today.
