Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Cranberry Sauce - no turkey is happy without it.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb/ 450g fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 8 ox/ 225g sugar
  • Zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 2 fl oz/ 50ml Port
  • Small pinch of allspice

Preparation:

  • Place all the ingredients into a stainless steel saucepan. Bring to a boil, turn the heat down and simmer for 10 - 15 mins, stirring occasionally. Don't worry if the sauce looks runny, it will thicken when cooled.
  • Remove from the heat, leave to cool then place in a serving dish, cover and store in the fridge until needed.
