There is heated debate over what is a traditional sauce to serve with Christmas pudding
. There is very little evidence about what this would have been so essentially it is what you prefer. I am a Brandy Sauce kinda girl, my husband likes custard
and the children ice cream (certainly not traditional). These 3 sauces for Christmas pudding are so easy to make, so why not indulge yourself and make them all!

This Brandy Sauce Recipe
is so easy to make and can also be made in advance and refrigerated requiring only reheating when the pudding is ready.
