A Classic British Christmas Dinner Menu

A Classic Christmas Dinner is the high point of the holiday celebrations, a time to gather family or friends together and enjoy the best of British produce.

A Christmas dinner is hefty so starters, if you choose to have them, should be light, easy and simply a teaser for the food to come. Smoked Salmon, especially Scottish, is a favorite and can be served simply and easily without adding to the intense cooking required to get dinner on the table.

Main Course

A traditional British Christmas dinner will always include a roast bird, and or another roast meat. Traditionally Roast Goose was the preferred Christmas food in Britain until the new-fangled Turkey arrived from America in the 16th century. Now, no Christmas dinner seems quite right without a stuffed roast turkey.
