I'm usually a bit of a stickler when it comes to eating foods when they are supposed to be eaten. I normally hold out until December to eat Mince Pies, then we eat them all the time, right through Christmas. This year however, I am giving in. I am being nagged to make them and as I made the mincemeat several weeks ago, what the heck, life is too short, and I'm only two weeks early though the commercial ones have been in the shops for months.
