It is no secret that being Yorkshire born and bred I am a huge fan of the county and of course, Yorkshire food and drink. Yorkshire is steeped in heritage and tradition which reflects in hundreds of wonderful recipes, most of which I have tasted, tried and of course, cooked.

The county is the largest producer of food in the UK with 100's of independent food producers and over 7,000 places to eat and drink from tearooms to Michelin Stars and everything between. But it isn't just about food in Yorkshire, there are also some beautiful places to stay whether it is a country cottage or a stately castle you can be assured of a warm Yorkshire welcome.

It is not possible to say Yorkshire and food in the same sentence without mention of that most famous Yorkshire dish - the Yorkshire Pudding, but homage must also be paid the many other dishes, which though not as famous are what makes Yorkshire food amongst the finest in Britain.
