As Britain plunges deep into the depths of winter, the short days and inclement weather means we need to dig really deep in to the ground for any seasonal veg. Once there you will find, beetroot swede, carrots, carrots, celeriac and the like. Greens mean cabbages, kale and if you are lucky you may find a little chard and perpetual spinach as long as temperatures remain above zero.
