After turkey and all the trimmings there's often little room left for pudding. A traditional Christmas pudding isn't the lightest kid on the block so for those who want something a little lighter, here is a selection of alternative Christmas pudding recipes. But, be warned, some may be light but they are also deliciously rich and decadent making them perfect for Christmas.

Hi Elaine, I agree we feel too full to have Christmas pudding after out Christmas dinner. But it’s a taste not to deprive ourselves of.
I live in the USA, not so easy to get an English pudding here. I recently had trip back to the UK and went Cornwall. So this year for the first time I’m having a Cornish Christmas pudding.
One thing you missed out the turnip or swede from your cornish pastie.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your site since finding it.

Thanks for this John and I so agree with you. If it’s so hard to buy a Christmas pud you should try making one, very easy actually. I hear what you say about the swede in the pasty, many different ideas on this one but am thinking of adding some anyway, I love the taste with swede or turnip in. Happy Christmas. Elaine
