Baked Ham Recipe

It is officially NOT a white Christmas this year, in fact it is probably the wettest weather for many a year. We are setting to with final present wrapping then intend having a lovely Christmas eve supper.

There are no set traditions in the UK for Christmas Eve - save attending Midnight Mass for those who like to go - as festivities begin tomorrow and continue into Boxing Day so Christmas Eve is a little bit of a 'non-event' compared to the rest of Europe.

Many traditional Christmas foods are usually eaten including Baked Ham, a Stand Pie - a large pork pie - served with a bowl of home made pickled onions, chutney and hot relish. Wensleydale Cheese with a piece of Christmas cake.and of course, a mince pie or two is also welcome. As the cooking marathon starts tomorrow it will be an early night for me.

Wherever you are, I hope you are having a lovely Christmas Eve.
