Whether you are gathering a few friends or family together, or away on a self-catering break, weekend cooking makes demands. Often the last thing you will want to do is slave over a hot stove, after all, it is your weekend as well. Half the battle is deciding what to cook but no worries, help is at hand, thanks to new (and talented) author Catherine Hill. Her first book, The Weekend Cookbook is a brilliant source of inspirational recipes for we busy cooks.
Catherine has crafted a collection of recipes from the quick, easy and simple through to the those with a bit more time to impress. And, if roast beef and Yorkshire's are a bit too much then how about a Sausage Cassoulet?
What I love about this book (apart from the lovely photography) is that Catherine has all bases covered, making the weekend so much easier to deal with. Thanks Catherine.
Should you be anywhere near The Baltic on August 21st, or the stunningly gorgeous Yorebridge House in the Yorkshire Dales on the 28th, then book for a great lunch and meet Catherine.
