Delicious, Warming, Onion Soup and Welsh Rarebit Recipe

I have just received a parcel of onion from British Onions. They have sent the onions to me to remind me of their existence, they didn't have to, I always choose British. Too, too often the onions for sale in supermarkets and shops are not the great British varieties but have traveled the globe. Ridiculous. We grow the most marvelous onions here on our doorstep. Their arrival immediately had me thinking onions and what should I make and can think of no better recipe where British onions shine through than in an Onion Soup.

Of all my favourite onion recipes, British Onion Soup with Welsh Rarebit Recipe has to be a favourite. The deep flavour of the slowly cooked onions, and the tang and texture of the crunchy cheese toasts are divine. Enjoy British Onion Soup with Welsh Rarebit for lunch, a warming brunch, for tea or supper. It's lovely.
