Christmas Cookies From Around the World

It's that time of year. Thanksgiving is over and now it is time to look toward Christmas. Every year the talented food writers at About.com get together for a Christmas Cookie Exchange. Cookie Exchanges are not a big British Food thing, but maybe they should be, it's such fun. For the next few weeks I am going to share the fabulous recipes with you, and who knows, maybe next year we'll have our own exchange.

Fillings run the gamut of apricot to raspberry to prune to cheese, and some truly nontraditional flavors like pineapple are sneaking into the mix. This recipe starts with a flaky cream cheese dough.
