Hurrah - my favorite sporting event starts today. It's Wimbledon fortnight and I am set to watch the tournament from start to finish - this year from my living room as I couldn't get tickets. Wimbledon also means eating strawberries and of course, the great custom of drinking Pimm's.
Pimm's if often regarded as the number two drink in Britain (tea, of course, the first). Pimm's first went on sale at the Wimbledon tournament in 1971, since then an average of 80,000 pints are sold to spectators. I may not be drinking a pint there but you can believe I will be at home. Watching the tennis just wouldn't be the same without it.
