
1 in 3 voted for Cheddar which is one of Britain's oldest cheeses, followed by Blue Stilton known as the 'King of English Cheese'.
In third place was Wensleydale which was developed by Cistercian monks in the 11th century in North Yorkshire and is one of my favorite cheeses.
With 700 cheeses in Britain there's plenty to choose from. Cheese doesn't need to be just a simple cheese board or something to pack into a sandwich. There are thousands of great recipes using cheese. Here are a few to get you started.
